The work they get paid for and call it their Job.

Why are we so rude to the customer care reps of the service industry?
Why do we try to be polite in the beginnin of the conv and slowly inch towards losing it?
Why do we get irritated when they ask questions to verify your identity?
Why do we wait for d exact moment when you are kinda sure they wont be havin an answer and pounce on them with no mercy?
Why are issues with our cell bills, internet connection, gas connection, electronics, satellite t.v network so damn important that you go to no limits barking at them?
Why do we think that the people working in call centres can be treated like low-lives who couldnt manage to get another job.?
Why are we so quick in concluding that these people are incompetent?
Why cant we be a li'l more patient and help them help us?
Why do we get irritated with the fact that things for which, once paid for should work exactly as its supposed to, without any problems?
Why do we abuse or try to have fun with those guys who calls up with offers and credit cards and personal loans and finance?
Why are we this way.?
Why cant we be at peace?
Why do we let them take our happiness for as much as 2mins when we attend these calls?

Most of the time we seem to behave as if the reps are responsible for the entire product and should have done a better job in the first place:) thotful blog:)

My take on the subject matter:

Q1. Im not rude to the ones I call when i need assistance. But then again I didnt ask for the 'n' number of marketing calls when im busy doin sumthin else. If I need sumthin, i'll call ur helpline.

Q2. I doubt anyone learnt to run before they cud walk... thats just natural

Q3. If ur callin me from my bank, i assume u know my details. I dont wanna give out sensitive info over a fone conversation.

Q4. Same as Q1

Q5. Cos mebbe u havent had a bad experience ever. U shud be treated as a rare phenomenon. Have u ever tried callin them, if u've received ur bills AFTER the due date and theyve slapped a nasty fine on it, for no fault of urs? Or if uve paid for a service and they've not started it for a gud month? (cmon ive been patient and polite for a month now, is dat less?) Then when u call the helpline, ur call is on hold for 45 mins. It then gets disconnected. U call again, then u wait only 25 mins this time, and a guy named sandeep comes up and helps u.. i forget, tries to help u... then refers ur query to sum else just at the precise moment when uve completed explaining the WHOLE damn issue to him. The next guy named abhilash greets me very very politely and asks me HOW MAY I HELP YOU? u wanna answer sumthin like "Kiss my ass first n then i'll tell u!" but out of courtesy and politeness, u dont. Then he logs in ur complaint and agrees to definitely callin u back once the query is solved. U wait. Nuthing. The call never comes. Then u call again the next day. Then ravi takes ur call and asks how may i help u. U again wanna say sumthin, then u tell him ur complaint no. (thank god for complaint books). He says sorry sir, the network is down. We cannot search ur query at this moment. Can u please explain the whole sorry thing once again? At the end of it, when he asks ur name for verification, u forget ur name is ravan.

Q6. I feel the same way abt some ppl in my office. Never mind.

Q7. Same as Q5

Q8. Try repeating Q5 three times for a given issue. That shud give u ur answer.

Q9. Try Q5 once again, after ur service has failed 3 times in the first month

Q10. Same as Q1

Q11. and Q12. All of the above.

Q13. Cos they keep going on n on, in spite of me being very very polite and answering, "sorry ma'am, i'm not interested with another lifetime free credit card, i already have 3!"
